A Home Win for Men’s Tennis

QUICK HIT: The SCAD Savannah men's tennis team defeated NCAA Division III Connecticut College 6-3 at home Wednesday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 4-6 overall while the Camels drop to 1-2.
 
DID YOU KNOW? This was the first match for new head coach Ken Obermeier.
 
2-1 AFTER DOUBLES: The Bees had a 2-1 lead at the completion of doubles. Sean Hajdu and Kosta Sevic defeated their opponents 8-6 at number one doubles while Quentin Staley and Josh Tewes-McCoy won 8-4 at number three doubles.
 
Yulin Liu and Daiki Naka fell 8-4 at the number two doubles position.
 
SINGLES ACTION: Naka and Liu won 7-5, 6-1 and 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 at numbers two and three singles, respectively. Tewes-McCoy won 6-2, 6-0 at number five singles while Mateo Fernandez won 6-2, 6-0 at number six singles.
 
Hajdu dropped a hard-fought number one singles match 1-6, 7-5 (13-11) while Staley fell 4-6, 6-4 (10-6) in the number four singles spot.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? SCAD remains at home to host Georgetown College at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17.
