No. 2 Women’s Lacrosse Continues to Dominate

Box Score QUICK STORY: The No. 2 SCAD Savannah women's lacrosse team continues to dominate as the Bees defeated Keiser University 17-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.

RECORDS: SCAD is now 2-0 on the season while the Seahawks fall to 0-2.

DID YOU KNOW? This is the second game in a row in which the Bees have scored 17 or more points.

NON-STOP OFFENSE: SCAD scored 12 of their 17 goals in the first half of the game. The Bees totaled 37 shots – 30 on goal – to the Seahawks' nine shots and nabbed 17 assists.

Sydney Knego led all players with four goals on five shots while adding two assists. Tess St. John and Kirsten Carr added three goals each while Taylor Vaccaro totaled two goals and one assist. Five other artist-athletes scored one goal to combine for the total 17 goals.

IN THE GOAL: Goalies Maggie Lortz and Olivia Vieira split time in the net with Lortz nabbing three saves.

OTHER STATS: Emma Devereaux led the team in ground balls with five while Knego totaled four. Devereaux also added seven draw controls while Shannon Flaherty tallied four caused turnovers.

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees remain on the road to face Davenport in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m.
