Men’s Tennis Falls in Regular Season Finale

Brunswick, Georgia – Playing their second top-ten team in two days, the SCAD men's tennis team couldn't overcome an early deficit as they Bees fell to College of Coastal Georgia 9-0 in their regular season finale Saturday afternoon at the Marta B. Torrey Tennis Complex. With the win the Mariners improve to 11-2, while the Bees fall to 4-10.

Coastal Georgia jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after posted wins No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. At No. 1 doubles, Sean Hajdu and Quentin Staley rallied to tie the score 7-7, but the Mariners won two straight games to win the point and take a 3-0 lead into singles play.

Coastal Georgia won all six singles matches in straight sets for the 9-0 win.

The Bees will return to the court Friday, April 22, when they travel to Miami, Florida to take part in The Sun Conference tournament. SCAD is the fourth-seed and will face top-seed Keiser in the semi-finals.
