Savannah, Georgia - The SCAD scored one point in both singles and doubles play but it wasn't enough as the Bees fall to 15th-ranked Campbellsville 5-2 Wednesday morning at Bacon Park. With the win the Tigers improve to 4-4, while the Bees fall to 2-7.
SCAD struck first as Yulin Liu and Quentin Staley teamed up for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles to score the first point of the match. The Tigers responding winning the other two doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead into singles play.
In singles play, Kenta Naka defeated Adrian Sabrojo 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 3 position to tie the match 2-2. Campbellsville scored straight sets wins at No. 1, 2, and 4 singles to win the match 5-2. Josh Tewes-McCoy and Staley both dropped the first set of their match but play was halted in the second set due to the match being clinched.
The Bees will return to the court Friday, March 18, when they face Georgetown. The match is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Bacon Park.
