Bees Defeat St. Andrews 20-1 to Remain Unbeaten

Laurinburg, North Carolina – The top-ranked SCAD women's lacrosse team had 11 different players net at least one goal en route to a 20-1 win over St. Andrews Saturday afternoon. With the win the Bees improve to 3-0, while the Knights fall to 0-4.

Leading the way for the Bees was Shannon Flaherty, Drew Dowgiallo, Torii Clark, and Olivia Stahl. Flaherty tallied three goals, one assist, five ground balls, seven draw controls, and two caused turnovers in the win.

Dowgiallo netted her first career hat trick as she scored a goal on each of her three shots. Clark netted two goals and dished out a team-high three assists. Clark also tallied a team-high three caused turnovers.

Stahl tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Emma Devereaux and Joanna Ehatt both finished with a pair of goals.

Maddie Boucher started the game in goal and made one save to pick up her second win of the year. Olivia Vieira and Maggie Lortz also split time in goal. Lortz recorded two saves, one ground ball, and one caused turnover.

The Bees return to action Friday, March 4, when they face seventh-ranked Lawerence Tech in their home opener. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the SCAD Athletic Complex.
