Hutchinson Island, Georgia - The SCAD men's golf team dropped a duel match to conference rival University of South Carolina Beaufort by one shot Friday afternoon at The Club at Savannah Harbor.

The ninth-ranked USCB shot a 291 to edge the Bees who shot a 292. Valentin Haack finished the day as the Bees top golfer shooting a one-under-par 71.

Rasa Lazarevic finished the day tied for fourth place after shooting a 73. Andrew Carmichael and Julian Dinsing both shot a 74 to round out SCAD's scoring. Juan Restrepo (77) was the fifth player in the starting lineup.

Others competing for SCAD were Andres Escobar (78), Maximiliano Acevedo (83), and Nicolas Fasoli (83).

The Bees return to action April 5-6 at the Golfweek Invitational in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida.
