Savannah, GA – The 19
th-ranked SCAD men's tennis team opened their Sun Conference schedule with a 9-0 over Ave Maria University, Saturday, January 31 at Bacon Park.
SCAD started strong sweeping the three doubles matches.
Kenta Naka and
Joao Freitas got the Bees started with an 8-0 win at number two doubles.
SCAD's strong play continued into singles play led by Naka, who won 6-3, 6-2 at the number one spot. The rest of the lineup followed the lead.
Josh Tewes-McCoy picked up a 6-0-, 6-0 win in his home debut. Fellow newcomer
Sean Hajdu won 6-0, 6-1 at number three singles.
The men will be back in action Friday, February 6 at home against College of Charleston. Match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Bacon Park,
