Orangeburg, SC. – The men's tennis team fell 7-0 in their season opener to South Carolina State Sunday, January 25 at the Hardeep Judge Tennis Center.   
The doubles duo of Kenta Naka and Joao Freitas had the Bulldogs to match point, but couldn't close it out and lost in a tie-breaker. The Bulldogs then pulled a 6-3 win at #3 doubles to give South Carolina State the point. 

SCST carried the momentum into single's play sweeping SCAD in straight sets.  Both Yulin Liu and Bobby Brand took their opponents to the limit losing tie-breakers in the first sets, but both came up short in the second sets. 

SCAD men will return to action on January 31 when they host their first conference match against Ave Maria University.
