The SCAD Women's Lacrosse Team has done what no other athletic team has ever done in SCAD sports history.  They have had an undefeated regular season.  On Saturday, April 5, on Senior Day, the ladies defeated Emmanuel College 18-7 to go 11-0 in 2014.
 
It was a night to remember.  After giving special recognition to the 4 seniors on the team (Rachel Ackley, Quinn Baldacci, Haley Fauvelle, and Casey Reiser), the Bees went out and established themselves as a team to remember.  And the emphasis is on "team."
 
From the opening Draw Control Lady Bees left no doubt as to the success of their pursuit of excellence.  Twenty-two minutes into the first period SCAD had a 10-1 lead and coasted to the historic victory that none of them mentioned before the game.  You could tell though that they were on a mission.  As a team eleven different players contributed in the scoring, which resulted in an 18-7 victory.  And once again, Jenny Danko provided double figures in saves – this time with 11.
 
The credits, laurels, recognitions, and statistical plaudits are too many to mention.  The stats are attached for you to see for yourselves.  It was a truly wonderful day for Nichole Hannon, Alexis Spaide, the families of the players, the fans, and then the players themselves.  They did SCAD proud.
 
And now it's on to the postseason.  Keep up the good work ladies.  You have done something very special.
