Box Score

In the first game of the NWLL National Championship the Lady Bees took on the Lady Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan College.  The Lady Bees jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on their way to an 18-0 victory.

Charlotte Cutts got the Lady Bees on the board first with a goal two minutes into the game on an assist by Charlotte Walters.  Four minutes later the Lady Bees extended their lead to two when Torii Clark found the back of the net after a nice setup pass from Walters, her second assist.  With 23:11 left in the half Cutts picked up her second goal of the game to extend the lead to three.

At the 20:30 mark in the half Walters picked up her first goal of the game, followed by a Haley Fauvelle goal eighteen seconds later.   Kayla Nelson picked up back-to-back goals to extend the lead to eight, just over ten minutes later.  The Lady Bees would add three more goals to end the half and take a 10-0 lead at the break.

In the second half the Lady Bees scored three more times (C. Cutts, Nelson, and Fauvelle) within the first ten minutes of play to extend the lead to 13-0.  SCAD would go on to score five more times before the horn sounded to end the very lopsided victory for the ladies.

Nelson ended the game with four goals, two assists, and three ground balls.  Charlotte Cutts added four goals of her own, an assist, and four ground balls.  Charlotte Walters, Haley Fauvelle, and Sophie Cutts each finished with two goals.

SCAD Goalkeeper, Jenny Danko, picked up the victory for the Lady Bees after stopping 14 shots and picking up the shutout.

The win for the Lady Bees extends their winning streak to 14 games.  The Lady Bees are back in action Friday when they take on the winner of #4 Reinhardt University and #5 Indiana Tech, game time is set for 5 pm.
