Lady Bees Crush St. Andrews Knights 19-3

3/29/2014 5:46:00 PM

Box Score

There were no standout performances in today's victory over the Knights of St. Andrews University.  Usually that is a bad thing, but in the case of the SCAD Women's Lacrosse team it is a very good thing.  Everyone got into the act as 11 of the 13 players who saw action scored at least 1 goal.  It was all SCAD as the Lady Bees won their tenth game in a row to go 10-0 on the season.

Charlotte Cutts was the only player for SCAD to score more than 2 goals.  She scored three to raise her team leading total to 30 on the season.  Of the 19 goals scored, 7 of them were assisted and even those were spread out among 6 different players.  Once again the No. 1 ranked Bees demonstrated why opponents have such a difficult time with them.  They cannot focus on one or two players.  Anyone can score and today everyone did – or at least 11 of them did.

Jenny Danko at goalie once again showed her expertise by allowing only 3 goals, while providing 7 saves to bring her total number of saves on the season to 81.  A noteworthy achievement was made by SCAD's Alyssa Stetson and Cara Sebag.  Both of them scored their first goals of the season in the victory.

Congratulations to Coach Nichole Hannon and Assistant Coach Alexis Spaide in their tenth victory of the season.  One more game remains for the ladies and this time they get to compete on their home field.   The Lady Bees will be taking on Emmanuel College in the final game of the year at the SCAD Athletics Complex April 5.  Come out and cheer on the Bees as they hope to go undefeated for the 2014 regular season - a feat that has never taken place in SCAD history.  Game time will be at 4 p.m.

The final game will be a special one for the Bees as they will celebrate Senior Day.  The day will provide the team and fans alike the opportunity to give their thanks to Rachel Ackley, Casey Reiser, and Haley Fauvelle as they experience their last regular season match in a Bees uniform.  Quinn Baldacci, the other senior on the 2014 team, has previously been honored for her career with SCAD.

All fans will be treated to pizza so come out and cheer your team on.  Go Bees!!
