W. Lacrosse Continues at #1 in Latest Coaches’ Poll

4/2/2013 9:22:00 AM

There was no movement in the top four spots in week five's National Women's Lacrosse League (NWLL) Coaches' Poll.  SCAD remains in the number one slot as they are 5-1 in NWLL play this season with their only league loss to No. 2 Shorter University.

Week five shows no new names on the poll, yet there were two flip-flops.  On a six game win streak, Aquinas moves ahead of St. Andrews while Midland changes spots with Davenport as they each picked up a league win this past week.

The poll was voted upon by head coaches in the 14-team league.  The sixth NWLL Top 10 Poll will be released on April 8th.

1     SCAD
2     Shorter University
3     Indiana Tech
4     Robert Morris University
5     Aquinas College
6     St. Andrews University
7     Davenport University
8     Midland University
9     Tennessee Wesleyan University

Women's Lacrosse next plays at the SCAD Sports Complex on April 6 against conference rival St. Andrews Presbyterian College at 12 noon.
