The SCAD men started well with Jack Anton and Darnell Sgubin winning at No. 1 in a hard fought match 8-5.  The No. 3 team of Peter Yellico and Manatsa Mazimbe gave SCAD another match win 8-4.
 
Going into singles play the Bees needed only 3 wins out of six opportunities to take the overall team victory.  Wins by Anton at No. 1 and Sgubin at No. 2 put Webber in the position of having to win the remaining four singles competitions to carry the day.  And that is just what happened. 
 
The Bees ran into tough competition at the No. 3-6 level and lost in straight sets.  It was a tough loss for the Bees who had their second win of the season in sight, but just could not put the Webber team away.
 
The loss brings the men's record to 1-7, 1-3 in conference play.
