Bees Finish the Season with a 16-5 Win Over Catawba

SCAD recorded a 16-5 win over the Catawba Indians in Salisbury, North Carolina and improved to 12-4 on the season.

Catawba stayed with SCAD for much of the first half, pulling even at a goal apiece just over four minutes into the contest. However, the Bees pulled away over the final ten minutes of the first half.  Charlotte Cutts had three goals in a seven goal run that closed the half for SCAD.  Haley Fauvelle had two goals and an assist to help the Bees to a 10-2 edge at the break.

Catawba got two goals to start the second half to cut the margin to 10-4 at the 19:25 mark.  Rachel Ackley scored just twelve seconds after that goal and the Bees went on to score six consecutive goals to up the lead to 16-4.  The Indians added one final goal late in the game.  Final score - SCAD 16, Catawba 5.

Cutts finished with four goals to lead the way for the Bees.  Samantha North and Britney Lukowski each scored three times, while Fauvelle and Kayla Nelson finished with two each. Fauvelle also had three assists.

SCAD pounded the Indians' goal for a total of 24 shots. Out of those 24 shots 16 of them connected for a 67% success rate.  The Bees finish the season with a 12-4 mark and now they wait to hear the seeding for the NWLL Lacrosse League Championship that begins 4/19 in Rome, Georgia.
