The SCAD women's lacrosse team suffered their first loss to St. Michael's College. Entering the second half with a slim 7-5 lead, the Dragons of St. Michael's went on a 5-goal run in the first seventeen minutes to extend their lead to 12-6 over the Bees.
The Bees mounted a strong comeback in the final minutes by scoring six goals to bring the score within one goal with only minutes to play. However, SCAD could not overcome the Dragons' lead. Final score, St. Michael's 15, SCAD 12.
SCAD's offfense was provided by
Kayla Nelson,
Haley Fauvelle, and
Alexis Spaide (3 goals each), with
Charlotte Cutts, Britney Lukowsky, and Chelsea Barnardo having one apiece.
Charlotte Cutts also contributed two assists.
Next up for the Bees (3-1) is an afternoon game on Thursday at 2 pm against visiting Missouri Baptist.
