HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – Kim McDaniel and Allie Faulhaber each scored three times as the St. Andrews Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team defeated SCAD Savannah 13-7 Saturday (March 19) afternoon at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
The Knights improved to 2-7 while the Bees fell to 3-3. SCAD returns to action Sunday (March 20) with a 1:30 p.m. home match against Agnes Scott College.
SCAD took a 1-0 lead on a
Jaclyn Scott goal at the 25:45 mark before the Knights scored four goals (Faulhaber, Megan Jolly, Chelsea Ross and McDaniel) over the next eight minutes to take control of the match.
Devin Dorsey got a goal back for the Bees with 9:27 remaining in the first half; however, St. Andrews reeled off five unanswered goals to take a 9-2 lead on a McDaniel score with 22:52 remaining in the match. SCAD would get as close as six twice in the final minutes of the match.
Britney Lukowski and
Nicky Mula each tallied two goals for the Bees while
Kim Caltagirone had one. Dorsey dished out two assists while
Haley Fauvelle had one. Goalie
Lauren Alexander had 10 saves for the Bees.
