KISSIMMEE, Fla. – SCAD Savannah edged Northwood (Fla.) University 5-4 in a The Sun Conference men's tennis match Friday (March 18) at the Star Island Resort & Club.

The Bees, who are ranked 24th in the NAIA, improved to 2-2 overall and to 1-1 in the conference. The Seahawks fell to 2-3 and 0-2. SCAD returns to action Saturday (March 19) with an 11:30 a.m. conference match against St. Thomas (Fla.) University at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla.

Northwood took a 2-1 lead after doubles as the Seahawks claimed wins at the No. 2 and 3 flights. SCAD rallied to tie the match at 4 as Bees registered wins as three of the top four singles matches. SCAD secured the victory when North Moerkerken defeated Niktia Borodatov 7-6 (2), 3-6, 6-2.
