WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -
Lisa Ohberg scored three goals and set up another to lead No. 8 Northwood (Fla.) University to a 4-0 victory over No. 11 Savannah College of Art and Design in a women's soccer match Friday (Sept. 5) afternoon.

The two-time defending conference champion Seahawks improved to 1-0-0 overall and to 0-1-0 in The Sun Conference while the Bees fell to 2-1-0 and 1-1-0. SCAD returns to action Sept. 12 when they face Auburn University Montgomery at 7 p.m. on the first day of the SCAD Classic being played at the SCAD Athletics Complex.

Playing in wet and blustery conditions in the first half, both teams had chances but could not find the net.  Sara Klaren's long range effort rattled the crossbar, and SCAD's Melissa Feuerriegel sent a curling shot that tested the far post at the other end.  Mary-Kate Sliter forced Didi Jurman into a save with nine minutes remaining in the half, and the teams went into halftime break scoreless.

Ohberg broke the deadlock nine minutes into the second half.  Sofia Abrahamsson's free kick bounced off Katya Salguero's leg and Ohberg popped up to head it home from close range. Ohberg doubled the lead in the 63rd minute, putting home a pass from Salguero and Emelie Lindstrom.

Salguero scored with 16 minutes remaining, using a delicate flick to redirect Ohberg's pass past SCAD goalie Stephanie Foster

Ohberg finished off her hat trick with eight minutes remaining.  Foster couldn't hold on to a shot from Salguero and Ohberg was on site to put it away.

Jurman made three saves for Northwood while Rosanna Lamprey had two for SCAD.
