MIAMI -
Junior Melissa Feuerriegel scored twice for the second consecutive match as the No. 11-ranked Savannah College of Art and Design defeated St. Thomas (Fla.) University 4-0 in a women's soccer match Wednesday (Sept. 3) afternoon.

The Bees, who have outscored their opponents 11-0 in their first two matches of the season, improved to 2-0-0 overall and to 1-0-0 in The Sun Conference. The Bobcats fell to 1-1-0 and 1-1-0. SCAD returns to action with a 1 p.m. meeting Friday (Sept. 5) in West Palm Beach, Fla., with No. 8 Northwood (Fla.) University. The Seahawks are the two-time conference champions.

Feuerriegel scored both her goals in the first half on unassisted goals. With her two scores, Feuerriegel moved into second place with her 33 career goals and 78 total points. She now only trails Larissa Stec (1999-2003) in both categories. Stec tallied 35 goals and 83 total points.
