SCAD tops Seahawks 1-0 in overtime

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Ryan Gadhue turned in Dan Fadida's corner kick with 2:30 remaining in the first overtime to give the Savannah College of Art and Design men's soccer team a 1-0 The Sun Conference victory over Northwood (Fla.) University Sunday (Sept. 28) afternoon.

SCAD improved to 4-4-2 overall and to 2-2-1 in the league while the Seahawks fell to 5-2-0 and 2-2-0. SCAD hosts Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University in a 7 p.m. conference match Saturday (Oct. 4) at the SCAD Athletics Complex.

The Bees ended the match when Fadida took the short corner and took a shot that was deflected by Northwood goalkeeper Andy Robertson. Gadhue collected the loose ball and was able to poke home his fifth goal of the season.

SCAD goalkeepers Robbie Wright and Ross Faulds combined on the second shutout of the season for the Bees.
