CLEVELAND, Tenn. -
Azusa Pacific University scored five first-half goals as the No. 2-ranked Cougars defeated 14th-ranked Savannah College of Art and Design 8-0 Friday (Sept. 19) evening on the first day of the Lee Classic.

Azusa Pacific, which finished as national runner-up last season, improved to 5-0-0 while the Bees fell to 3-3-0. SCAD tries to get back in the win column when they face No. 7 California Baptist University at 5 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 20) on the final day of the tournament.

The Cougars, who scored three times in the first nine minutes of the match, outshot the Bees 28-2 (17-1 on goal) as they handed SCAD its worst loss since Willamette University defeated the Bees 8-0 to start the 2003 season.
