Recordon wins twice as Emory defeats SCAD

ATLANTA -
Emory University defeated the Savannah College of Art and Design in a college men's and 'swimming meet 111-98 Saturday (Nov. 8) at the Woodruff P.E. Center.

SCAD fell to 2-3 in men's action. SCAD returns to action Nov. 22 with a 4 p.m. meet against Darton College in Albany, Ga.

The Bees won four of the 13 events competed. SCAD was led by double winner Danny Recordon. The sophomore won the 50-yard freestyle (20.66) and the 100 freestyle (47.02). Recordon along with Owen Chikazawa, Allan Cox and Vitali Pushkar-Verbitsky captured the 200 freestyle relay in a time of 1:26.56. Pushkar-Verbitsky also won the 100 butterfly (50.30).
