Webber International scores three second-half goals in 3-1 win over SCAD

BABSON PARK, Fla. - Webber International University scored three second-half goals as the Warriors picked up their first The Sun Conference men's soccer victory of the season with a 3-1 decision over the Savannah College of Art and Design Sunday (Oct. 26) afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Warriors improved to 4-7-1 overall and to 1-6-1 in the league while SCAD fell to 4-8-2 and 2-6-1. SCAD closes out the regular season with a 6 p.m. match Saturday (Nov. 1) against Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University in Daytona Beach, Fla.

SCAD took a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute on Ellert Hreinsson's team-leading seventh goal of the season off an assist from Richard Hurlin. Webber International tied the match at 1 on Adam Bates' unassisted goal in the 70th minute. The Warriors took a 2-1 lead with just over seven minutes left in the match on a goal by Ivan Arias off an assist from Calixto Lopez, who added an insurance goal with 23 seconds remaining.
