Bees pick up six runner-up finishes against Clemson

Meet Results

CLEMSON, S.C.  —
The Savannah College of Art and Design women's swimming team picked up six second-place finishes  as they dropped meet to NCAA Division I Clemson University Friday (Nov. 9) evening at the McHugh Natatorium.
 
Clemson won the women's meet by a score of 137-103. Clemson improved to 2-5 while SCAD, which finished third at the NAIA National Championship last season, fell to 2-3 in 2007. The Bees return to action Nov. 17 when they travel to Wingate, N.C., for a 1 p.m. meet against Wingate University.
 
Junior Cassie Dixon was runner-up in two events – 50 freestyle (24.93) and 100 freestyle (54.85) – for SCAD. Also coming in second for the Bees were Liz Roberts (100 breaststroke, 1:11.65), Jill Jeffries (1,000 freestyle, 10:59.71), Lizzie Harr (200 freestyle, 2:00.19) and Stephanie McNicol (500 freestyle, 5:12.05).
