Danny Recordon wins two events as Clemson defeats SCAD

CLEMSON, S.C.  —
Freshman swimmer Danny Recordon won two more events as the Savannah College of Art and Design dropped a men's swimming meet to NCAA Division I Clemson University Friday (Nov. 9) evening at the McHugh Natatorium.
 
Clemson won the meet by a score of 124-97. Clemson improved to 6-1 while  SCAD, which finished third at the NAIA National Championship last season, fell to 2-3 in 2007. The Bees return to action Nov. 17 when they travel to Wingate, N.C., for a 1 p.m. meet against Wingate University.
 
Recordon, a freshman from Portland, Ore., captured the men's 50-yard freestyle in a time of 21.47 and the 100 freestyle in a time of 47.86. Recordon has won five events this season, including all four attempts at the 50 freestyle.       Fellow freshman Nat Emmett picked up two second-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (59.87) and 200 breaststroke (2:13.88).
