No. 2 Emory defeats Bees 114-83

SAVANNAH, Ga.  —
The Emory University men's swimming team defeated the Savannah College of Art and Design114-83 Saturday (Nov. 3) afternoon at the Chatham County Aquatic Center.

The No. 2 Eagles improved to 3-0.  SCAD, which finished third in the NAIA last season, fell to 2-2. SCAD returns to the pool Friday (Nov. 9) with a 4 p.m. meet against Clemson University in Clemson, S.C.

The Bees' only victory in the men's meet also came in the 50 freestyle as Danny Recordon won in a time of 21.20. Recordon picked up one of four second-place finishes for the Bees, as he was runner-up in the 100 freestyle in a time of 48.95. Nat Emmett also tallied two second-place finishes in the 200 individual medley (2:00.79) and the 200 breaststroke (2:16.26). The SCAD quartet of Geoffrey Byers, Thomas Gibson, Leonardo Del Solar and Robert Hess also finished second in the 400 medley relay in a time of 3:44.99.
