Five second-half goals dooms SCAD in loss to Webber International

BABSON PARK, Fla. — 
Webber International University scored five second-half goals as the Warriors recorded a 5-2 Florida Sun Conference men's soccer victory over the Savannah College of Art and Design Saturday (Oct. 27) afternoon.

The Warriors improved to 8-8 while the Bees fell to 10-6. Both teams finished the regular season tied for third place in the conference with 5-5 records. SCAD will return to action Friday (Nov. 2) with an 8 p.m. semifinal match against a to-be-determined opponent at the NAIA Region XIV Tournament that the Bees will be hosting at the SCAD Athletics Complex.

SCAD jumped on to a 2-0 lead at the half as Ellert Hreinsson scored both goals for the Bees. Hreinsson leads the team with 11 goals. Webber International scored three times in the first 10 minutes of the second half to take a 3-2 lead as Andy Glyne, Nick Weightman and Adam Bates tallied goals.  Weightman completed a hat trick with two more goals later in the half.
