SCAD golfer Alazne Urizar was selected as the SCAD “Student-Artist-Athlete Player of the Week” for September 23 - 29.
Urizar took part in the Lander Lady Bearcat Invitational Golf Tournament in Hilton Head, SC the weekend of September 27. The tournament was composed of 18 teams, 17 of which were NCAA Div. II schools. SCAD was the only NAIA participant.
Urizar shot two rounds of 72 and 69, good enough for first place in the tournament. There were 90 golfers participating. Her play was a key to the Lady Bees finishing in 2nd place
In the classroom Urizar carries a GPA of 3.6 in her Architecture major.
Congratulations to Alazne Urizar for the Student-Artist-Athlete honor. This is the 3rd time that Urizar has earned this recognition.
Other worthy candidates were Theresa Schmaus, Maria Baragan, and Daniela Arcila {W. Tennis}, Darnell Squbin (M. Tennis), Michael Kocher (Equestrisn), Melanie Novack (W. XC), and Jordan Trinci-Lyne (M. Soccer).
