After having a hand in all five of SCAD’s goals last week Laerke Michaelsen has been named Reed Publications Female Artist-Athlete Player of the Week.

Michaelsen started the week netting both goals in the Bees 2-1 upset over third-ranked Keiser Friday afternoon. She intercepted a pass and fired a goal from 25 yards out to give SCAD a 1-0 lead four minutes into the game. She extended the lead to 2-0 in the 66^{th minute as she converted a Meadhbh Deeney cross into a goal.}

She followed that up by tallying a goal and two assists in the Bees 3-0 win over Johnson & Wales. Michaelsen assisted SCAD’s first two goals, which gave the Bees a 2-0 lead five minutes into the game. Michaelsen netted a goal of her own in the 48th minute for the 3-0 final.

With the two wins the Bees improve to 9-3-2 and 6-0 in conference play.
