After making 32 saves in the NWLL national tournament, Jenny Danko has been named Reed Publications female Student-Artists-Athlete “Player of the Week” for April 27-May 4.

In the quarterfinals, Danko recorded a season-high 14 saves, including nine in the first half to help SCAD defeat Reinhardt 21-6. Danko also recorded two ground balls in the win.

She followed that performance up by making 11 saves in the semifinals against Robert Morris. Danko stopped seven shots in the first half to help the Bees take a 10-4 lead into halftime. 

In the championship game, Danko limited Davenport’s offense to one goal in the second half to help the Bees pull away for a 13-6 win. 

Danko was named the most outstanding player of the tournament and helped the Bees capture their third NWLL tittle in the last four years.
