After earning four All-American recognitions at the NAIA National Swim Championship Julie Woody has been named the female Student-Artist-Athlete “Player of the Week” for March 9-March 16. 

Woody began the meet with a fifth place finish in the 50 free touching in 23.75 to earn her first individual All-American honor.  She followed that up with a fifth place finish in the 100 back with a time of 57.98.  In her final individual event Woody won the consolation heat of the 100 free finishing in 52.21. 

Beyond the individual events, Woody was part of two relay teams that broke school records and earned All-American honors.   Woody led off the 200 free relay team that finished third with a time of 1:35.35.  That time broke the school record, set in 2012, by .52 of a second. Woody was also a member of the 400 free relay that finished second and broke the school record swimming 3:29.44.
