Holy Innocents' Episcopal School Athletics

SCAD golfer Alazne Urizar was selected as the SCAD “Student-Artist-Athlete Co-Player of the Week” for April 7-13.

This past weekend Alazne Urizar took part in The Sun Conference Championship Golf Tournament in
Daytona Beach, Florida.  The tournament was composed of 9 teams of 42 golfers.  Urizar won the tournament title by 8 strokes over teammate Sofia Molinaro after shooting 222 over the three rounds of the championship.  She paved the way for SCAD to also win The Sun Conference Championship.

Because of her sterling play Urizar was also selected to the all-tournament first team.  In addition to the tournament honor, it was announced by The Sun Conference that Urizar was chosen as The Sun Conference Player of the Year.

In the classroom Urizar carries a GPA of 3.38 in her Architecture major.

Congratulations to Alazne Urizar for the Student-Artist-Athlete Co-Player of the Week honor.  She shares this week’s award with W. Lacrosse player Kayla Nelson.  This is the 6th time that Urizar has won this award.
