SCAD Women’s tennis player Carolina Viteri has been selected as Student-Artist- Athlete Co-Player of the Week for March 17-23, along with teammate Maria Barragan.
Carolina Viteri played in four singles matches this past week and recorded four wins against St. Thomas, Ave Maria, Oklahoma Baptist, and Southeastern. In the 8 sets that Barragan played she won 4 of them by a score of 6-0, 6-0. Viteri only lost 10 games out of the 52 she played.
In addition to this, she and her doubles partner, Ana Dominguez, won all four matches with scores of 8-6, 8-0, 8-2, and 8-3. Because of her contributions this past week, the SCAD W. Tennis Team won all four of the team’s competitions, three of which were Sun Conference opponents. The Lady Bees are 4-0 in conference play with four left to play.
Congratulations to Carolina Viteri in her Student-Artist-Athlete Player of the Week recognition. This is Viteri’s first time to win this recognition.
Other worthy considerations were Daniella Arcila, Ana Dominguez, and Isadora Salvetti (W. Tennis), and Darnell Sgubin, Zach White, and Joao Freitas (M. Tennis).
