SCAD sophomore golfer Sofia Molinaro was selected as the SCAD “Student-Artist-Athlete Player of the Week” co-winner for the week of January 27-February 2..
Molinaro competed in the Tusculum-Kiawah Golf Invitational this past week and finished first in a field of 90 golfers from 18 colleges. SCAD was the only NAIA school in the field.
Molinaro shot a 67 in the second round which set the tournament record low for 18 holes as well as the lowest final round score in the history of the Tusculum tournament.
Molinaro carries a 3.5 GPA in her Fashion Marketing and Management major.
Other worthy considerations were Meredith Denny, Kelly DiFiglia, and Kristen Stine (Equestrian), Jessy Scarpone and Chrissy Glover (W. Track/Field), and Matthew Smith, Emanuel Krieg, and Ace Brown (M. Track/Field).
