SCAD freshman Cross Country runner Jessy Scarpone was selected as the SCAD “Student-Artist-Athlete Player of the Week” for November 4-10.

Scarpone took part in The Sun Conference Championships and finished 2nd in the 5K event.  Her time of 18:11 was the 12th best time for the 5K in SCAD history.  Scarpone had established the 4th fastest time for the 5K less than a month ago. 
 
Scarpone was a major contributor in SCAD bringing home The Sun Conference Team Championship for 2013. 
 
As a result of her accomplishment in the TSC Championship and her previous finishes in five meets, The Sun Conference selected Scarpone as “Newcomer of the Year” for 2013.

Other worthy considerations for the Student-Artist Athlete Player of the Week were Pat Cardillo (M. Swimming), Ryan Searles (M. Swimming), and Tom Rouine (M. Soccer).
